ATLANTA (Sept. 16, 2024) - Chicken Salad Chick, the nation's only fast-casual chicken salad restaurant concept, unveiled its annual Cookies for a CURE promotion in partnership with CURE Childhood Cancer, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to funding life-changing pediatric cancer research for children and families across the country.
This fall, guests can enjoy Chicken Salad Chick's limited-time Lemon Burst Buttercream Cookies for a good cause. All proceeds from sales of the Lemon Burst Buttercream Cookies will go directly to CURE Childhood Cancer throughout the month of September, also known as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Now in its third September of the fundraiser, Chicken Salad Chick expected to have raised more than $125,000 for childhood cancer research from proceeds of Cookies for a CURE.
"Cookies for a CURE has become a tremendous platform for us as an organization to make a tangible impact in the lives of so many children and families suffering the reality of this deadly, debilitating illness," said Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick. "The supportive and overwhelming response from our guests has made this one of our most successful initiatives yet. Our partnership with CURE is just one of the ways we aim to serve those in our community who truly need it the most, and we could not be more proud to ramp up our Cookies launch for a third year in a row."
The Lemon Burst Buttercream Cookies are topped with a natural lemon zest buttercream frosting in honor of the gold ribbon which serves as the international symbol for Childhood Cancer. In the promotion's third year, Chicken Salad Chick expects to donate more than $40,000 directly to CURE based on the supplies allotted for the campaign.
"Chicken Salad Chick's support is such a driving force in our fight against childhood cancer," said Kristin Connor, CEO of CURE Childhood Cancer. "Funds raised through cookie sales are invested in research aimed at developing effective, less toxic treatments for cancers that affect children. We are so grateful for the incredible partnership, the opportunity to raise substantial funds, and the crucial awareness Chicken Salad Chick is bringing to the crisis of cancer in children."
In 2023 alone, Chicken Salad Chick announced it raised more than $525,000 on behalf of its annual Giving Card program to support local food charities and cancer research. A sizeable portion of these funds were donated directly to CURE to support the organization's efforts to fund new research in the fight against childhood cancer.
The CSC Foundation was created in 2014 by Chicken Salad Chick's founders, Kevin and Stacy Brown, and their business partners, Earlon and Betty McWhorter, with a mission to fight cancer and feed the hungry. Through the growth of the foundation, CSC has had tremendous opportunities to impact the lives of those in need through initiatives like the annual Giving Card program and now Cookies for a CURE. The CSC Foundation has helped secure the future of CSC's philanthropy by setting a positive example across the Chicken Salad organization.

For those feeling LUCKY, Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta is partnering with the digital ticket lottery platform Lucky Seat. Starting Friday, Sept. 20, participants will have a chance to win a limited number of $39 tickets for the Atlanta engagement of THE LION KING.
Entries for shows at the Fox Theatre will open at 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, with weekly winners. The final round of entries will close on Friday, Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m. Lucky Seat will email winners weekly on Fridays starting at 10 a.m. and will continue throughout the day, as needed. Winners will have a limited window to purchase and claim their tickets. The Student Rush Ticket price will be valid for all performances with a two-ticket limit per student ID. Imaginations will soar with Children’s Museum of Atlanta's fall featured exhibit Wallace &amp; Gromit™: Get Cracking!, launching Saturday, Sept. 21. Inspired by the beloved film and television characters, this interactive exhibit invites visitors to engage in creative, hands-on activities that promote problem-solving and resilience. Created in collaboration with Aardman and the Minnesota Children's Museum, the exhibit will educate and entertain kids through Jan. 12, 2025.
Designed for children ages 3 through 9, Wallace &amp; Gromit™: Get Cracking! invites little inventors into Wallace’s world, where inventions and contraptions often go terribly—but hilariously—wrong. The program provides a natural opportunity for little ones to explore themes around adaptability and experimentation in a safe and lighthearted manner.
“Wallace &amp; Gromit™: Get Cracking! is a thrilling blend of creativity, curiosity and endless fun," said Edwin Link, executive director of the Children’s Museum of Atlanta. "As kids dive into Wallace's world, they’ll not only sharpen their problem-solving skills but also discover joy in making mistakes along the way. In the exhibit’s interactive dining room, kids will experiment with basic principles of engineering and physics by setting the table for a tea party while navigating a range of quirky, comically oversized utensils and tableware or launching porridge from a cannon. ​ Young inventors will also face the challenge of repairing Wallace’s malfunctioning Autochef, learning about mechanical concepts through experiential learning, or soar to new heights by setting a course and blasting off to the moon in Wallace’s rocket. The exhibit promotes STEM-based problem-solving, making the process of tackling challenges exciting and entertaining.
A designated “Tot Spot” will be available to ensure that children under three can safely explore and engage in age-appropriate activities tailored to their developmental needs.

"A LA SALA" features 12 tracks that draw from the band's past creative explorations. This exclusive event offers one of the best views in the city, located at the corner of Peachtree and Ponce. Guests will enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Pride Parade from the stunning rooftop of the Marquee Club presented by Lexus.

“I never take for granted that I get to live out my dream on the stage every week and this new tour is something special that I can’t what to share with everyone,” says Jo Koy. 
As one of today’s premiere stand-up comedians, Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings performing in a Las Vegas coffee house. Jo’s uniquely relatable comedy pulls inspiration from his colorful family that has reached all kinds of people and has translated into sold-out arenas around the world. 
In 2022, Koy kicked off his Funny Is Funny World Tour by selling-out the Climate Pledge Arena (over 14,000 tickets) in his hometown of Seattle and ended the tour with a sold-out show at Tacoma Dome (over 19,000 tickets).
