I am the breaking news editor for Patch in California. Previously, I worked as a freelance digital journalist for over six years covering communities across the Central Coast, Orange County and the Greater Los Angeles Area with bylines in the Orange County Register, Long Beach Post, Los Angeles Daily News, San Luis Obispo New Times, Long Beach Press Telegram and more.

While I first got my feet wet in journalism as an arts and entertainment reporter in my hometown of San Luis Obispo straight out of high school, I eventually found my passion for news coverage when I moved to Long Beach, California to attend Long Beach State University. I've also dabbled in a menagerie of other media related ventures such as creative brand consulting for small sustainable companies, for which I ran social media accounts, edited websites and designed labels/graphics.
