<h2>A fundraiser honoring Playhouse alumn!</h2>
Join us on September 14 for a jazzy and joyful evening honoring Tony Award-winning star Kristin Chenoweth and Drama Desk Award-winning music director Mary-Mitchell Campbell. The evening will celebrate the music of multi-Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning composer Cy Coleman, best known for The Best Is Yet to Come and music from his Broadway shows Sweet Charity, Barnum, and On the Twentieth Century. The 2024 Leadership Award will be presented to Westport’s own Harold Bailey, Jr. and Bernicestine McLeod Bailey.
Joining the honorees to perform some of Coleman’s hits will be F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Queen of Versailles);&nbsp;Laura Benanti (Gypsy, Swing!, Nine); Raúl Esparza (Speed-the-Plow, Company, Taboo); Norm Lewis (Phantom of the Opera, Porgy &amp; Bess; NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!); Bonnie Milligan (Kimberly Akimbo, Head Over Heels); Debra Monk (Redwood Curtain, Curtains, Picnic); and Lillias White (Fela!, Dreamgirls, Hadestown, Cy Coleman’s The Life).

<h2>Coming next to our Family Festivities series… IMAGINATION MOVERS!</h2>
The Imagination Movers’ story is the ultimate example of the power of imagination. In 2002, four New Orleans friends– Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche, and Scott “Smitty” Smith– had an idea.
They thought kids wanted and deserved music that spoke to them, not down to them. So, they started gathering after their kids’ bedtimes to write songs and brainstorm ideas about a children’s television show. 
Celebrating over 22 years of entertaining families, The Movers aim to create music that speaks to kids, not down to them. THIS OPEN HOUSE IS FREE for adults 50+. We would like you to see us in ACTION at a Lunch and Learn Program on campus at CT STATE Community College Norwalk (formerly NCC), 188 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT EAST CAMPUS!
John Coperine is a musician (guitar, piano, banjo), singer and songwriter. He will be playing some of his original songs along with some singalong favorites. His original songs center around love, life and loss, family and sometimes politics. His goal is to entertain us while also touching our hearts. He hopes to leave us smiling, feeling connected and inspired by the power of music. 
We start with coffee, tea, cookies and pastries at 12:15 pm in the first floor Atrium on the East Campus. You can bring your own brown bag lunch too if you wish. John's presentation and music will start at 1 pm in the Forum Auditorium just off the Atrium. You can park (free) behind the East Campus building. Enter through the rear entrance. It is handicapped accessible. You will see and hear us on your right as you enter. Join us for coffee and a nosh and enjoy the great music. You need to register at the table in the Atrium. We hope to see you on Friday the 13th! It will be a great afternoon!
