Morris County Historical Society, founded in 1945, is a member supported 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to preserve and promote the history of Morris County. In 1971, Mary Crane Hone donated Acorn Hall, located at 68 Morris Avenue, to the Society. Since then, Morris County Historical Society has served the dual purpose of upholding its original mission and interpreting Acorn Hall as a Victorian, upper-class Italianate home.
