Wednesday Bingo
Doors open at 5:30 pm and play starts at 7:30 pm. Games are open to the public.
Packages are priced at $42, $35 and $25 plus $2 admission. They include nine games with other games available for purchase including Quickies, two progressive bonanza jackpots and nightly specials. Games end at approximately 10 pm.
Sunday Bingo
Doors open at 5 pm and play starts at 7 pm. Admission is $1 plus a $5 Quickies book purchase. Games include specials and Quickies. Games end at approximately 9:30 pm.
All game boards are paper with electronic verification. Pre-packaged snacks, beverages and bingo supplies are available for purchase.

Bingo is played in the Pearl River temple’s climate-controlled, ground-level social hall which has cushioned seating. The room is brightly lit and has its own sound system. The building is handicapped accessible with a well-lit parking lot.

Now A Second Progressive Game Wednesdays At Beth Am Temple Bingo

Come to Beth Am Temple for a fascinating historical journey into the origin of their two Holocaust scrolls as part of the Selikhot observance on Saturday, September 28. Special guest Lois Roman, a trustee with the London-based Memorial Scrolls Trust, will share the history of Beth Am’s Czech Torahs at 7:30 pm. She will explain how they, along with 1,562 other Torahs, survived World War II and their unique journey from Europe to Rockland County.
Roman, the Trust’s East Coast representative, will discuss the process by which 1,400 of the scrolls are permanently loaned to caring communities worldwide, describe unique features found in many Holocaust Torahs and answer audience questions.
After refreshments at 8:30 pm, the Selikhot service will begin at 9 pm. The service led by Rabbi Daniel Pernick and Cantorial Student Erica Rubin will feature High Holy Day melodies and themed readings, along with the changing of the Torah mantles to their High Holy Day whites and the first shofar blast of the season.

Religious School Starts September 8, High Holy Days Begin October 2


Prior to the observance of the High Holy days in October, Beth Am Temple’s religious school will hold its first day of classes for kindergarten through seventh grade on Sunday, September 8. Hebrew High School classes will start on Tuesday, September 10. Registration is open and enrollment forms are available online at <a href="https://www.bethamtemple.org/forms/religious-school-forms-information/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.bethamtemple.org/forms/religious-school-forms-information/</a>.
New programs created for students include activities following Friday night services with team building games. Youth group events with other local temples will kick off on Sunday, September 22 with a tailgate party. 
On Wednesday, October 2 at 7:30 pm, longtime Beth Am Temple Rabbi Daniel Pernick will be joined by Cantorial Student Erica Rubin and Cantor Emerita Marcy Kadin for in-person Erev Rosh Hashana services observing the Jewish new year of 5785. Tickets are not required for the evening service. First and second day Rosh Hashana services begin at 10 am and tickets are necessary for the Thursday morning (first day) service. That service will be followed by Tashlikh at 1:15 pm and Young Children’s service at 2:15 pm. Tickets are not needed to attend the Friday morning (second day) service. 
A more casual gathering will take place on Friday, October 4 at 5:30 pm. The Fahrbrengen program will be informal without prayer books and will include songs, noshes and learning.
Beth Am’s Kol Nidray service starts at 7:30 pm on Friday, October 11 with the Saturday morning Yom Kippur observance beginning at 10 am. Tickets are required for the Friday evening and Saturday morning services. All are welcome to attend Saturday’s Healing Service at 1 pm, Young Children’s Service at 2:15 pm, Afternoon Service, and Yizkor at 4:45 pm followed by the Neilah/Concluding Service and Break the Fast.
