Winning $336 Million Powerball Jackpot Ticket Sold In Vermont

MIDDLEBURY, VT — Check your Powerball tickets, Vermonters: The state sold its first-ever jackpot ticket worth $336 million this week.

The single ticket was sold at Middlebury Short Stop in Middlebury, NBC News reported, citing the state Department of Liquor and Lottery.

"It's really exciting because it's the first one ever sold in the state of Vermont," Middlebury Short Stop manager Deb Alger told NBC News."So, it's really cool."

The winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing were 8, 40, 49, 58 and 63. The Powerball was 14. The winner can choose to have the prize paid in 30 payments over 29 years or a lump-sum payment of $208.5 million before taxes.

Are you the winner? Your prize must be claimed in person at the Vermont Lottery Headquarters in Berlin. The ticket must be signed and submitted to the organization along with a completed claim form and valid identification. Claim forms are available at Vermont Lottery Headquarters or any authorized Vermont Lottery Agent.
