Bank Robbery Suspect Sought By Burlington Police
Police are searching for a person they say robbed People's United Bank in Burlington. The robbery happened Tuesday morning.
BURLINGTON, VT — Police are searching for a person they say is responsible for robbing People’s United Bank in Burlington on Tuesday.
The robbery happened just after 10 a.m. at the bank located on North Avenue. According to police, the suspect threatened to use a weapon before taking an undisclosed amount of cash and fleeing.
With the help of authorities from Colchester, the University of Vermont, and South Burlington, police searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them. The search also prompted a lockdown of the Miller Center, which lifted at 10:45 a.m., police said.
