  2. A federal lawsuit against Champlain Parkway has several more groups providing support. The lawsuit was filed two years ago against the 25 mph route through the city's South End. 3. The ferry route between Burlington and Port Kent, New York, is reportedly closed this season. This is the third year in a row that the ferry has been closed. The closure is reportedly due to staffing and economic struggles. There are still additional ferries for residents to make the trip to New York, such as the Grand Isle route.
