Here are the top three stories today in Burlington:

  1. South Burlington students staged a walkout on Thursday morning to protest the pattern of school shootings. Hundreds of South Burlington students participated in the peaceful protest. The student's actions were reportedly in response to the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Uvalde, Texas which claimed the lives of 19 students and two teachers earlier this week. (vtdigger.org)
  2. VTDigger's newsroom will have some new faces this summer. The newspaper has hired five new interns and fellows for its newsroom. Lia Chien, Kathryn Field, Jenna Peterson, Ella Ruehsen, and Kori Skillman were chosen after a competitive application process that spanned the country. Click to meet the new interns and fellows.
