🌱 UAW Town Hall + One Of Burlington's Largest Trees To Be Cut Down

Here are the top three stories today in Burlington:

  1. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders hosted his "Standing with the UAW" town hall in Burlington on Friday. The senator spoke to about 250 union strike supporters at the town hall hosted at the Crapo Park bandshell. The UAW Local 807 union workers have been on strike since May 2 at the Case New Holland Industrial plant. Senator Sanders' appearance gave new hope to the union workers. (Burlington Hawk Eye)

  3. Property owners plan to cut down one of Burlington's largest trees in July. The property owners worked with arborists on ways to save the tree, but the tree unfortunately is in decline. The eastern cottonwood tree must be cut down to prevent further property damage to the homes that currently reside under it. (vtdigger.org)
