Vermont Weather: Champlain Valley Under High-Wind Warning

BURLINGTON, VT β€” A high-wind warning is in effect for several counties in Vermont's Champlain Valley as forecasters warn of the possibility of wind gusts up to 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service office in Burlington.

A high-wind warning is in effect for Grand Isle, western Franklin and western Chittenden counties. This includes the cities of Alburgh, South Hero, St. Albans and Burlington.

The warning is in effect through 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Areas on the Lake Champlain shoreline could see the strongest wind gusts. Sustained winds around 45 mph have been recorded near Colchester Reef, forecasters said.
