14th Annual Lunar New Year Festival Jan. 28-29 at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax
It will celebrate, among other things, the Year of the Rooster. There will be performances, dancing and much more each day from 1-5 p.m.
FAIRFAX, VA — In what's billed as one of the area's largest events of its kind, the 14th Annual Lunar New Year Festival will be held Jan. 28-29 at Fair Oaks Mall, 11750 Fair Oaks Mall, to celebrate the Year of the Rooster.
It's free, and will be held both days from 1-5 p.m. in the Grand Court.
It'll feature traditional Chinese dragon dances, music, Chinese knotting, calligraphy, painting, martial arts, arts and crafts for kids and a lantern festival.

More than 200 performers representing numerous countries and regions will be on hand, including China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Polynesia, Tibet, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
