28-Year-Old Man With Knife Robs Fairfax City Convenience Store: Police

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a 28-year-old man they say robbed a city convenience store at knifepoint early Monday morning.

Officers responded around 12:54 a.m. to the 7-Eleven at 3810 University Drive for the report of a robbery. A preliminary investigation revealed that a man wearing a mask entered the store, showed a knife, and took money and other items before leaving, according to police. There were no reported injuries.

On Tuesday, police arrested Harley Pratt of an unknown address and charged him with one count each of robbery, trespassing and wearing a mask in public. He was then taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was held without bond.

Pratt has previously been arrested on a number of charges and has two upcoming hearings in addition to Tuesday's arrest, according to court documents.

On Sept. 17, Pratt has a 9:30 a.m. court appearance on two charges of property damage and one charge of fleeing from law enforcement in connection with a July 11 arrest, according to City of Fairfax General District Court records. He is also due back in court on Sept. 26 to face charges of petit larceny and trespassing.

In 2017 and 2018, Pratt had a total of 20 arrests on numerous charges, including petit larceny, disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice and being drunk in publice, according to Fairfax County District Court records.
