Northern Virginia Youth Winds 2019 Auditions Planned for May

Continuing their tradition of youth music education, the City of Fairfax Band Association announces student auditions for the Northern Virginia Youth Winds Junior and Senior Winds Ensembles for 2019-2020 school year. Audition information is posted on the new NVYW web site and auditions are scheduled for the last two weeks of May.

For next year, the ensemble is instituting a change in policies for returning students. All current members of both ensembles will automatically be accepted into the organization next year without audition. Seating placement auditions will occur in the fall with all new and returning members. This year there is no audition fee.

Follow links on that page to the audition sign-ups for new members and also a link for returning members to state their intention. Students will not have to commit to return until tuition payments come due this summer. Returning students should sign up soon so that open seats can be counted as the ensembles head into auditions.
