Wallet, Car Stolen From Fairfax City Fitness Center: Police

City of Fairfax Police are looking for two suspects they say stole a wallet and car from a local fitness center last month.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police are asking the public's help in identifying two people suspected of stealing money and a car from a local fitness center last month.

Around 6:45 p.m., on July 14, two people entered Planet Fitness at 11001 Main St. and unlocked a locker containing a wallet and car key, according to police. They then took the victim's vehicle, a silver 2017 Toyota Corolla with Virginia tags: UMA9001, and tried to purchase $500 worth of Target gift cards using the victim's credit cards.

On July 15, a license plate reader spotted the vehicle crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge toward Maryland.
