FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Stafford County Sheriff's deputies arrested two suspects wanted on drug-related charges during a Wednesday night traffic stop at the Walmart located at 11 Village Parkway.

Following an investigation by the Special Investigations Unit earlier this month, detectives obtained warrants for 38-year-old Jeremy Miller and 39-year-old and Kirsten Torkos Incontri, according to the sheriff's office. The warrants charged each of the Stafford residents with two counts of the distribution of controlled substances.

Acting on information about Miller's location, Sgt. B.U. Demirci responded around 6:20 p.m. to the area of Warrenton and Poplar roads, with the goal of locating the suspect's vehicle, according to the sheriff's office. Once Demirci spotted Miller's vehicle, the sergeant conducted a traffic stop. With Deputy W.A. Bolinsky's help, Demirci identified Torkos as a passenger in Miller's vehicle.

After searching the vehicle, the deputies recovered numerous suspected controlled substances and paraphernalia, according to authorities. A preliminary investigation determined that the two had been in contact about the sale and distribution of narcotics in the area.

After serving Miller and Torkos with the outstanding warrants, the deputies also charged them with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. They were then taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where they were held without bond.
