The Five 40 Roller Girls (Five 40) will be closing out their 2014 season and taking on the NVR Brusin Burgs from Christiansburg, Virginia on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Golden Skate World (GSW).

Come watch Five 40 lay some hard hits, skate with heart and show the NVR Brusin Burgs a good time at GWS, 12220 Five Mile Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. The bout will be action packed and the evening will be full of family friendly fun.

Doors will open at 6 pm and the bout will start at 7 pm.

This season, Five 40 has taken on teams from near and far, including the GI Janes from Mount Holly, North Carolina, SoDel Roller Girls from Milford, Delaware and Southern Maryland Roller Derby from Waldorf, Maryland. With five wins and two losses under their belts, Five 40 is looking to add another tick to the winner’s column on Saturday.

Before the bout, come hang out with the ladies of Five 40 as they host a Spirit Night at Buffalo Wild Wings, 10107 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408, on Wednesday, September 17 from 5 to 8 pm. Five 40 is also excited to announce that they will be supporting Jack Browns Tattoo Revival (Jack Browns), LLC, as they host their seventh annual Tattoos for the Community Charity event. Jack Browns’ Tattoos for the Community is a two day walk in tattoo event where all proceeds are donated to a local charity.

This year, the events will be held on September 20 and 21 at Jack Browns on Princess Anne Street in Fredericksburg, Virginia and all proceeds will be donated to the Frazier Mason Some Gave All Foundation which provided financial assistance and security for area veterans that require support as a result of their injuries sustained during the Iraqi and Afghanistan conflicts.

Sunday, September 21, Five 40 will be joining the Mason-Dixon Café to host a bake sale and further support the cause.Tickets to Five 40’s last home bout this season, on Saturday, September 20, can be purchased in advance for $10 from your favorite derby girl, at Jack Browns or online at Brown Paper Tickets for $11.34. Cash and credit will be accepted at the door where tickets will be $12. Children age 10 and under are free for entry.

As always, Five 40 invites fans of all ages to cheer on their favorite derby girl. Golden Skate World will host a Kids Zone for younger fans; entry is $3 per child.
