Fredericksburg Area Vaccine Update: All Clinics Accept Walk-Ins

The Rappahannock Area Health District said that their vaccine clinics will accept walk-ins, though appointments are still recommended.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Walk-ins are now accepted at the Rappahannock Area Health District's coronavirus vaccine clinics in Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Caroline County. Appointments are not required, though they are recommended.

This week, the health district will offer the first dose of the Moderna vaccine at its clinics. Residents who have already received the first dose of their coronavirus vaccine should schedule an appointment to receive their second dose.

The health district operates clinics across the county on different days. Here are the dates and times for coronavirus vaccine clinics this week:

Across the health district, approximately 100,000 people are fully vaccinated. A total of more than 135,000 residents have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

Less than a third of the residents in the Rappahannock Area Health District have been fully vaccinated so far, according to the demographics presented by the state's vaccine dashboard.

Virginia residents can use the Vaccine Appointment Scheduling Engine to find an appointment through the health district. Alternatively, residents can use the federal vaccine finder tool to find a coronavirus vaccine from a pharmacy or other healthcare provider.
