Police Searching For Suspect In Stabbing Incident In Stafford County

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing last Friday.

The suspect was identified as Leonard Pratt Jr., 22, of Port Royal. He is currently wanted for malicious wounding, assault and battery, as well as, disorderly conduct, the sheriff's office said.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing last Friday.

On March 8, at about 1:40 p.m., a sheriff’s deputy responded to Genesis Logistics, at 705 Bradburn place, for an assault. The caller said that two employees were fighting in the warehouse.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect fled the scene prior to the call and the victim was taken to a local hospital.

The sheriff’s said that the suspect and victim “agreed to engage in mutual combat when the suspect produced a bladed object.” After seeing this, the victim attempted to flee, but the suspect chased him down and began assaulting him with the bladed object, according to the sheriff’s office.

The victim, who was injured, was able to fight off his attacker, resulting in the attacker fleeing in a dark sedan, the sheriff’s office said.
