LEESBURG, VA — Nonprofit groups are keystone community organizations in the Leesburg area. Fortunately, there is no shortage of organizations to volunteer or get behind financially, and that need your help.

Here are five outstanding nonprofit groups you should know about in the Leesburg area:

  • Loudoun Hunger Relief
    • Loudoun Hunger Relief operates a pantry in Leesburg and a mobile market in Sterling. The organization relies on donations from the community to help feed residents who might otherwise struggle to buy food or groceries.
  • Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services
    • Animal shelters need all the help they can get. Fortunately, Loudoun County's shelter receives assistance from the Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services. They support the area's animals and local programs by volunteering their time and donating money.
  • Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy
    • The Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy hopes to protect the environment through field trips, speaking engagements, and habitat restoration.
  • Equality Loudoun
