Assistance League Appreciates Community's Support for Giving Tuesday

At the close of the Giving Tuesday campaign, Assistance League of Northern Virginia is reminded that our community is powerful and caring. The nonprofit was especially grateful to be able to take advantage of two donor matches totaling $2500 that doubled the impact of its generous friends. Assistance League greatly appreciates its loyal supporters and first-time donors who recognized the importance of its mission and helped provide hope and compassion for those in the community who need it most. Every donation, big or small, helps to make sure the most vulnerable children receive the essentials they require to be happy students and successful adults.

It's never too late to donate. If you missed the Giving Tuesday campaign, please consider making a contribution as part of your year-end giving. Assistance League has no source of funding other than what it generates through grants, fund-raising efforts, and donations. Poverty in Northern Virginia has increased significantly since the pandemic, as have the needs of the students and their families at the elementary schools that the nonprofit serves.
