To Own Home Or Rent? Housing Expo In Alexandria Has Answers

The 2018 Northern Virginia Housing Expo is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Looking for an affordable place to rent or own in Northern Virginia? Plan to visit the 2018 Northern Virginia Housing Expo on Saturday, March 24, at George Washington Middle School, 1005 Mount Vernon Ave., next to the Braddock Road Metro Station in Alexandria.

The free public event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will showcase both first-time homeownership and rental opportunities, and resources throughout Northern Virginia. The expo will feature workshops and exhibits designed to educate attendees about location options, being prepared for buying or renting, understanding and improving credit scores, senior housing options, condominium governance, improving energy efficiency and more.

Free confidential counseling will also be available. Refreshments will be available for purchase during the event.

This event is made possible through a cooperative effort between representatives from the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun, the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church, the Virginia Housing Development Authority and a new nonprofit partner, First Home Alliance.
