Regional Summer Restaurant Week Starts Ahead Of Alexandria Restaurant Week

Select Alexandria restaurants will participate in Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week ahead of Alexandria's own event.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Before Alexandria's own restaurant week, the summer rendition of Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week arrives on Monday, bringing special menus at restaurants around the region.

Metropolitan Washington Summer Restaurant Week will be held from Aug. 12-18. Participating restaurants may offer $25/$35 lunch/brunch specials or dinner specials for $40, $55 or $65. Select restaurants will have restaurant week to-go offerings and wine or cocktail pairings.

French restaurant Bastille will have a three-course menu for $35 per person, as well as a $40 or $55 dinner menu. Fellow French brasserie Josephine will have a $55 per person dinner menu. The cheese-centric Cheesetique will offer a two-course dinner for $27.50 or three-course meal for $40. Clyde's at Mark Center, Rustico and Evening Star Cafe will serve up three courses for $40 per person. Laporta's Restaurant will have several options to choose from — $25 brunch or lunch and $40 or $65 dinner. Vermilion's brunch menu will be $25 per person, while the dinner price is set at $50 per person.

South of Alexandria City, New Orleans and Southern-inspired Milk and Honey has a $35 lunch menu, while Italian favorite Osteria Marzano will serve a $55 three-course dinner.

Meanwhile, Alexandria Restaurant Week starts on Aug. 16 and runs through Aug. 25. Participating restaurants will offer a $27.50, $40 or $50 multi-course prix fixe dinner for one. The $27.50 dinner for one special is a nod to Alexandria’s 275th anniversary.
