ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A man who thought he was meeting a woman he "met" online was instead a victim in a stabbing and an attempted robbery late Thursday night in Alexandria, according to Alexandria Police.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the stabbing in the 5000 block of Seminary Road (see map below). Police did not give the exact location of the incident. The victim came to the area to meet someone from an online post, police said.
