RESTON, VA — Boston Properties, which recently announced that its Reston Town Center properties were 93.8 percent occupied and 96.1 percent leased, revealed on Tuesday that it was changing its name to BPX Inc., according to news reports.

The name change was prompted by a desire to better reflect the company's nationwide footprint and growth strategy, according to the Washington Business Journal, quoting a July 30 press release. The company has grown into six regions, including the greater Washington, D.C. area.
