RESTON, VA — The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors signed off on zoning approvals for a huge project that would involve creating a new mixed-use development at Reston Station, according to a report.

The Washington Business Journal reports that a 32-acre chunk of Isaac Newton Square could be turned into 2.8 million square feet of space, with most of it going to residential.

It will also include a mix of hotel, office, and retail space.

Now that the Board has signed off on preliminary zoning approvals, developers can start creating plans for the development, which will stretch 10 blocks, WBJ reports.
