New Reston Apartment Building Changes Color: Report

RESTON, VA -- An apartment building going up in Reston is nothing new. But this one has its own unique twist: it changes color, according to a report.

The Washington Post reports that the Exo apartment building at 1897 Oracle Way was built with color-shifting metal panels that change the building's color from dark blue to blue-green depending on where the sun is in the sky.

And the feature applies to the inside as well, as renters can choose what type of paints they want on their walls.

The building is 16 stories high and has 457 apartments between two towers. The rent ranges from $2,105 to $6,120, according to the Post.
