Chillin' on Church Returns With Food Trucks, Fun In Vienna

The next Chillin' on Church block party along Church Street in Vienna promises food, drinks, music and more entertainment.

VIENNA, VA — The summer season is the perfect time to get outside and socialize with your neighbors at Vienna's Chillin' on Church block parties.

Chillin' on Church is held monthly from June to September and includes food, local beer and wine, music, and family-friendly entertainment. Sections of Church and Mill Streets are closed to vehicular traffic for the event. The next event will be Friday, July 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. along historic Church Street.

Each event includes a variety of food trucks to please all kinds of cravings. The town also encourages Chillin' on Church attendees to order takeout from Vienna restaurants and bring it to the event.

The July 21 food truck lineup includes: Ono Wai Shave Ice, LLC (Hawaiian Shave Ice), Pop's Praiseworthy Popcorn (popcorn), Sweet Frog (frozen yogurt), The Inside Scoop (ice cream), Hsp inc DBA Halal Grill (halal chicken and gyro meals), Memaw's Table (Louisiana comfort food), Parallel Food Truck (American cuisine), The Roaming Coyote (tacos), Two Smooth Dudes (tater tots and smoothies) and The Grease Wagon (savory sandwiches).

Attendees 21 and older can also buy craft and domestic beers or wine. To buy beer or wine, visit the ID tent and get a wristband, then buy a $6 ticket that can buy one beer or wine. ID is required for all attendees purchasing alcoholic drinks, and attendees are not allowed to bring their own beer and wine from home.

While enjoying food, drinks and conversation, attendees can watch a live performance by Diamond Alley. Summer concerts are part of Vienna's Summer on the Green on Fridays through August and during Chillin' on Church.

Attendees are encouraged to use public parking options around town. Handicap accessible parking is available at the Town Green/W&OD Trail parking area between Church Street NE and Maple Avenue, E.
