FORT BELVOIR, VA — The Virginia State Police has canceled a critically missing adult alert posted Monday morning for a man last seen July 6 at the Holiday Inn in Fort Belvoir.

This missing man was Thomas Lester Jr., 66, a Black man who is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 350 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair.

Authorities said Monday evening that Lester had been located; where he was found was not released.

State police said Monday that Lester may be driving an Enterprise rental SUV; a detailed description and license plate number are unknown.

Lester's disappearance posed a threat to his health and safety, state police said.

Anyone who has information on Lester's whereabouts is asked to call the Fairfax Division of the state police at 804-750-8798 OR 911.
