Good Hygiene Helps Students Feel Confident At School

Help Assistance League Provide Hygiene Kits For Low Income Students

As students reach the upper grades of elementary school, they become more concerned with appearance and grooming. Being happy with how they look and their hygiene is important for their self-confidence and comfort at school. Counselors from schools served by Assistance League of Northern Virginia have identified the items their students need. In response, Assistance League has been providing kits with essential grooming items to our partner schools for distribution to 5th and 6th-grade students in conjunction with their hygiene lessons.

Assistance League is celebrating twenty years of ongoing community service with a series of monthly wish lists to meet basic needs that low-income families struggle to afford. The August wish list includes personal care items such as deodorant, soap, hair brushes, toothbrushes, and washcloths that will be part of the hygiene kits distributed to partner schools for their upper-grade students, and the zippered bags needed to pack the toiletry items.

Please select Assistance League of Northern Virginia as the shipping address to ensure prompt delivery
