Mark loved to travel. With his wife Sara, he visited many parts of the British Isles on numerous occasions, as well as South America for both pleasure and business. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends, especially when it involved single malt Scotch. He and his wife designed and built their dream home in Vienna, and Mark was actively engaged in home improvement projects until his illness.

He had recently begun a business, TechnoSpeaker, devoted to training technologists in the art of presenting their ideas effectively. Mark was a longtime subscriber and supporter of Arena Stage, a lover of theater and the performing arts, and remained an active supporter of the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club.
