VIENNA, VA — Aside from providing fire and rescue support, the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department is offering a newly-renovated space for community use.

The volunteer fire department renovated its hall to offer 4,800 square feet of event space. The space is an option for the community to use as an alternative to traditional event spaces.

With new floors, ceiling and lighting our event space is a perfect fit for any event from birthday parties to weddings," Judi Medwedeff, a Vienna Volunteer Fire Department member, told Patch. "Our space includes dedicated on-site parking, bathrooms and a commercial grade kitchen."

The project was funded through the volunteer fire department's fundraising efforts, including Taste of Vienna, the Fieldhouse Classic golf tournament and its annual fund drive.

Along with hosting special occasions, the space has Vegas style bingo boards installed for the volunteer fire department's popular Sunday Night Bingo.
