Vienna Weather: Six Inches Of Rain This Weekend?

Don't put away those umbrellas just yet. Vienna could get up to six inches of rain going into the weekend.

VIENNA, VA—We've had a rainy start to the week in Vienna, and the weekend isn't looking any better. One weather model is calling for up to six inches of rain being dumped over Vienna and the rest of the DC area Friday and Saturday.

The Capital Weather Gang says it's not a matter of whether a lot of rain will fall in a short time frame; it's where it will be heaviest. Vienna is definitely a contender, because Weather Gang cautions that areas experiencing heavy rain in the last few days are more likely to see flooding.

Other weather models have a more optimistic outlook. The National Weather Service predicts heavy rain is possible, but new rainfalls may between a half and three quarters of an inch (except in the case of a thunderstorm).
