Vienna's Last Chillin' On Church Of 2023 Planned In September

The last chance to enjoy Vienna's block party with food trucks, drinks and live music is September.

VIENNA, VA — Before the summer season officially ends, there's one more chance to enjoy Vienna's outdoor block party with food, drinks, live music and fun with your neighbors.

Chillin' on Church, a monthly block party from June to September with food trucks, local beer and wine, music, and family-friendly entertainment, will be held Friday, Sept. 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sections of Church and Mill Streets are closed to vehicular traffic for the event. The next event will be Friday, Aug. 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. along historic Church Street.

Each event includes a variety of food trucks to please all kinds of cravings. Attendees are also encouraged to order takeout from Vienna restaurants and bring it to the event.

The food trucks planned for the Sept. 15 event are: Rocky Ice Cream, Colonial Kettle Corn (popcorn), Kona Ice (shaved ice), Frothy Mug (coffee, tea, ice cream and baked goods with nondairy options), DC Steakholders (gourmet cheesesteaks), New Gourmet Delight (Asian fusion), The Roaming Coyote (tacos), The Big Cheese (gourmet grilled cheese), Urban Poutine (gourmet fry peddlers), Two Smooth Dudes (gourmet tater tots, wraps and smoothies) and Phowheels (traditional Vietnamese food).

Attendees 21 and older can also buy craft and domestic beers or wine. To buy beer or wine, visit the ID tent and get a wristband, then buy a $6 ticket that can buy one beer or wine. ID is required for all attendees purchasing alcoholic drinks, and attendees are not allowed to bring their own beer and wine from home.

While enjoying food, drinks and other entertainment, attendees can watch a live performance by Sudden M-Pac Band. This is the last outdoor concert of 2023 in Vienna's Summer on the Green series.

There are various public parking options around town for Chillin' on Church attendees. Handicap accessible parking is available at the Town Green/W&OD Trail parking area between Church Street NE and Maple Avenue E.
