20th Anniversary of 9/11 Attack

It is against Islamic teaching to kill any innocent person. Let us all learn to value each other's lives equally.

(iHeartRadio)

This year, 2021, marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attack that took place on a Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001. It was a tragic day where about 3000 innocent lives were lost yet it left many more in shock and pain.

It is against Islamic teaching to kill any innocent person. The Holy Quran states, “Whosoever killed a person… it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and whosoever gave life to one, it shall be as if he had given life to all mankind” (5:33). Islam puts so much emphasis against killing any person that it is surprising the terrorists went against this teaching to take away lives of thousands. A true Muslim would never commit such an act.

I belong to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and as an Ahmadi Muslim, I condemn this terrorist attack and honor all those who were killed in this tragedy. Let us all learn to value each other’s lives equally.
