Police Searching For Bank Robber In Woodbridge

Prince William County Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to steal from a bank in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A bank robbery prompted a police response in Woodbridge Monday afternoon.

The robbery happened around 12:32 p.m. at the United Bank at 13870 Smoketown Road. Police say a suspect showed an apparent gun and demanded money. The suspect fled without taking money or firing shots. There were no reported injuries.

Police did not immediately find the suspect in the area. The suspect was described as a Black man between ages 35 and 40 around 5 foot 10 and 200 pounds with a bear. He was wearing a fitted gray hat, blue medical mask, yellow safety vest, gray North Face zip-up packet, black T-shirt, dark-colored pants and black sneakers.
