PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Woodbridge's Community Vaccination Center will close its doors at the end of June, the Prince William Health District said. The Community Vaccination Center, which is run by the Virginia Department of Health, began vaccinating residents in March.

The decision to shut down the center comes as more than 50 percent of eligible residents in Prince William County are fully vaccinated. 60 percent of eligible people, those aged 12 or older, have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

In the Prince William Health District, which encompasses Prince William County, the City of Manassas, and the City of Manassas Park, daily vaccination rates have declined since the end of April. On April 30, 5,800 vaccine doses were administered, according to the health district's dashboard. The health district has not vaccinated more than 4,900 people in any day since.
