COVID Vaccine Clinics Return To Prince William County Schools
More COVID-19 vaccine clinics are coming to schools around Prince William County throughout this week, the health department said.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — More COVID vaccine clinics are coming to schools across Prince William County, the Prince William Health District announced. The clinics are scheduled to take place outside of the schools' regular operating hours.
Children aged 5 to 11 are lagging behind in vaccination rates in Prince William County. Currently, only a 31.1 percent of children in that age range are fully vaccinated, according to the Virginia Department of Health. Meanwhile, 76.4 percent of adults are fully vaccinated.
The COVID-19 vaccine has been proven to reduce the severity of COVID-19, as reported by the Centers for Disease Control. Virginia Department of Health data shows that unvaccinated people are four times more likely to be hospitalized due to COVID-19.

- Monday, Feb. 7
- 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

- Walk-ins will be accepted. All children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Tuesday, Feb. 8
- 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Signal Hill Elementary School, 9553 Birmingham Dr, Manassas, VA 20111
- Walk-ins will be accepted. All children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Thursday, Feb. 10
- 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Minnieville Elementary School, 13639 Greenwood Dr, Woodbridge, VA 22193
- Walk-ins will be accepted. All children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Friday, Feb. 11
- 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Mary Williams Elementary School, 3100 Panther Pride Dr, Dumfries, VA 22026
- Walk-ins will be accepted. All children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Saturday, Feb. 12
- 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Fred Lynn Middle School, 650 Prince William Pkwy Unit E, Woodbridge, VA 22191
- Walk-ins will be accepted. All children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Vaccines are also available at the county's vaccination sites at the Manassas Mall and the former Gander Mountain location in Woodbridge. Vaccine appointments can be scheduled online.
