Sexual Assault, Man Impersonating Cop Reported In PWC Police Recap

DALE CITY, VA — A sexual assault police officer impersonation, shooting with an injury and other incidents were investigated by Prince William County Police in the eastern part of the county.

Police made two arrests in connection to a sexual assault on May 9 at Paisano's Pizza at 12439 Dillingham Sq. in Lake Ridge. According to police, an employee inappropriately touched a 19-year-old female co-worker, who reported the incident to a relative. The relative confronted the suspect in the parking lot and struck the suspect with a metal tool.

The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The police investigation resulted in the suspect and relative being arrested. The suspect, Ghulam Haidar Maher, 53, of Woodbridge, was charged with misdemeanor sexual assault and was released on a court summons.

The relative, Sylvester Bacchus, 57, of Woodbridge, was charged with malicious wounding and was held on a $1,000 secured bond.

The shooting with an injury happened around 7:18 p.m. Sunday in the 15300 block of Bronco Way in Dale City. Police say a 25-year-old victim and acquaintance in a vehicle were approached by an unknown man. The suspect fired multiple rounds, striking the victim and the vehicle. The acquaintance fled on foot with the suspect.

The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries or property damage was reported.

The suspects were described as a man wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans and another wearing a blue or gray shirt and tan colored pants and carrying a gun inside of a shirt.

The police officer impersonation was reported around 4:53 p.m. Saturday in the area of Hillendale Drive and Dale Boulevard in Dale City. According to police, an armed man approached the 57-year-old victim, showed a badge and identified himself as a police officer. The suspect demanded the victim's identification and took money from the victim's wallet. Police say the victim was not injured, and a weapon was not used.

Burglary While Armed | Strangulation: On May 11 at 2:27PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Castlebridge Ln. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old woman, observed an acquaintance, identified as the accused, in her backyard. When the victim attempted to reenter the residence, the accused followed and forced his way into the home. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim and wrapped his arm around her neck before forcing her into another room where he struck her multiple times and brandished a firearm. At one point, the victim began to call emergency services before the accused grabbed and broke the phone. Another family member was able to contact the police. Prior to police arriving at the home, the accused left the area. The victim reported minor injuries. Further investigation revealed the accused refused to return the victim’s vehicle and the following day it was recovered and returned to the victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Prince Jakim Isaiah MALDONADO. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

convicted felon, 1 count of felony destruction of property, 1 count of brandishing a firearm, 1
count of unauthorized use of a vehicle, and 2 counts of assault & battery

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling: On May 13 at 2:23AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Bath Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed occupants of the home woke to several shots being fired before locating damage to the home. A police K-9 and Fairfax police helicopter searched for the suspect(s) who were not located. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Shell casings were located in the roadway.

Commercial Burglary: On May 10 at 8:21AM, officers responded to Poop Scoop Troopers located at 13164 Centerpointe Way in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed entry was forced into the building through a door sometime between 7:00PM on May 9 and 2:30AM on May 10. A key box was taken, and multiple keys were removed. A business vehicle and work items from a second vehicle were reported missing. On May 11, the unoccupied stolen vehicle was recovered in Fairfax County.
