GIVING TUESDAY 2022 Is November 29th
Join In Supporting Charitable Organizations Participating In This Annual Day of Giving
Assistance League of Northern Virginia will join other charitable organizations throughout the world that are participating in GIVING TUESDAY on November 29. Giving Tuesday is an annual international effort to promote generosity. Started in 2012 as a day to disconnect from the end-of-the-year-purchasing frenzy and instead focus on doing good in local communities, Giving Tuesday has become a movement that encourages activism and kindness.
Assistance League relies on the kindness of friends and supporters so it can continue providing food, new clothing, shoes, books, and reading assistance to some of the most vulnerable elementary school students and their families in our community. The nonprofit is grateful that it has been able to resume most of its philanthropic programs since the pandemic.
Assistance League encourages everyone to reflect on how you can best contribute to building a better community. Everyone can make a difference. Every act of generosity counts! Early Giving starts on November 15th.
