Man Busted For Out-Of-State Abduction Leading To Woodbridge Hotel: Police

Prince William County Police say a woman ended up at a Woodbridge hotel against her will.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — An abduction suspect accused of taking a woman from Pennsylvania was caught at a Woodbridge hotel Friday, according to Prince William County Police.

Around 2:42 a.m. Friday, police responded to the Sleep Inn at 14080 Shoppers Best Way in Woodbridge for a reported abduction. Police learned a 30-year-old woman was taken from Pennsylvania against her will and brought to the hotel. The suspect, who police believe was acquainted with the victim, brought the woman to the hotel.

Another acquaintance had notified police of the victim's location in Virginia. Responding officers found the suspect and victim at a hotel room and detained the suspect. Police found the suspect had the victim's personal belongings. There were no reported injuries to the victim.

Robert Buchanan, 64, of Oak Hill, Florida, was charged with abduction.
