WOODBRIDGE, VA — A student was charged with bringing metal knuckles to Freedom High School in Woodbridge Monday, Prince William County Police say.

Around 7:30 a.m. Monday, Freedom High School's school resource officer learned that a student had a weapon. School security had found a student with the metal knuckles after receiving a tip.

The school resource officer's investigation found no threat from the weapon to other students, faculty or staff. Officers obtained petitions to charge the 16-year-old student from Woodbridge with possession of a weapon on school grounds.
