WOODBRIDGE, VA — A mass vaccination clinic began administering shots to residents at the old Gander Mountain store in Woodbridge on Tuesday. The state-run community vaccination center has the capacity to vaccinate more than 3,000 people every day, according to the Virginia Department of Health.

The new clinic is operated by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, and funded by a grant from FEMA. The Woodbridge site is the fourth community vaccination clinic to open in the state, after locations in Danville, Portsmouth, and Petersburg opened last week.

Woodbridge's clinic, located at 14011 Worth Avenue, was established to assist vulnerable populations in the area and address health equity concerns. In Prince William County, white residents are significantly more likely to have received a vaccine than people of color.
