Sexual Assault In Dale City Leads To Suspect Arrest

The suspect of the sexual assault of a woman inside a home in Dale City has been found, according to Prince William County Police.

UPDATE: Police have located and arrested the suspect.

DALE CITY, VA — The sexual assault of a woman in the Dale City area Monday has led Prince William County Police to seek a wanted suspect.

Police had responded around 7:50 a.m. Monday to a home in the 22193 ZIP code. The victim had awoken to the suspect entering the room with a knife and sexually assaulting her. The victim was able to escape and found a neighbor to contact police.

The suspect fled in a Dodge Caravan. Police believe the suspect and victim were not acquainted, but the suspect was renting the basement in the same home as the victim.

Detectives have obtained arrest warrants for Alexander Maximiliano Soto Hernandez, 42, of Dale City on two counts of aggravated sexual battery, one count of forcible sodomy, and one count of abduction with intent to defile. He is described as a Hispanic man around 5 foot 5 and 170 pounds with brown hair and black eyes. His vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Caravan that was originally silver and is now black with New Jersey license plate A74RMZ. Police believe the suspect has ties in the DC region and New Jersey.
