No Threat Found At Woodbridge's Freedom High School After Investigation By Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A reported threat was investigated and found to not be credible at a Woodbridge school Thursday afternoon.

Prince William County Police are on the scene of Freedom High School, where a threat was reported. There were no signs of active violence or weapons located at the school, police say.

The investigation concluded there was no credible threat at the school. Police say multiple students overhead a threat rumor and reported it to school staff, who informed the school resource officer.

The school was put under secure the building status as a precaution. Secure the building status means that outside entry into the school is closed, typically due to police activity. The school has since returned to normal operations.

Police have identified the "involved parties." The investigation continues.
