QUANTICO, VA — A person was struck in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Prince William County Monday, according to Virginia State Police.

The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. Monday on southbound I-95 at the 148 mile marker, which is near the Quantico exit. State police say a southbound 2012 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer could not avoid striking a person who was in the travel lanes. A 2023 Ram 3500 then rear-ended the tractor-trailer.

The pedestrian in the road, Paula J. Magnus, 66, of Falls Church, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was flown to VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
