Woodbridge Driver Faces DUI Manslaughter Charge In Pedestrian Death

A pedestrian crash in the Huntington area of Fairfax County led to charges for a Woodbridge driver.

HUNTINGTON, VA — A Woodbridge driver is now facing a DUI manslaughter charge in a fatal pedestrian crash in Huntington, according to Fairfax County Police.

Michael Rambudhan, 38, of Woodbridge, was held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on a $25,000 bond after being arrested last Friday. He was previously charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal of breath/blood test.

The crash happened after midnight on May 24 at North Kings Highway and Huntington Park Drive in Huntington. Police say Rambudhan’s 2023 Acura MDX was headed north on North Kings Highway when it left the roadway, struck a median, and struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk before hitting a tree. The pedestrian, Lucius Gaskins, 54, of Alexandria, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
