Coldest Day Of 2017: Here's How Frigid Mercer Island Was Last Night

Overnight lows hit single digits in some areas around Puget Sound.

SEATTLE, WA - The National Weather Service reported Thursday morning that Puget Sound saw the coldest temperatures of the week overnight and into Thursday morning - and that means we've experienced the coldest day of 2017 so far.

So here, from warmest to coldest, are the lowest temperature measured by the weather service over the last 24 hours ending at noon Thursday:

  • Edmonds: 29 degrees
  • Gig Harbor: 24 degrees
  • Seattle: 23 degrees
  • Bellevue: 21 degrees
  • Enumclaw: 21 degrees
  • University Place: 21 degrees
  • Renton: 20 degrees
  • Shoreline: 19 degrees
  • Lake Forest Park: 17 degrees
  • Lakewood-JBLM: 17 degrees
  • *Mercer Island: 17 degrees
  • Bonney Lake: 16 degrees
  • Woodinville: 16 degrees
  • Kirkland: 15 degrees
  • Sammamish: 15 degrees
  • Puyallup (South Hill): 14 degrees
  • Redmond: 14 degrees
  • Sumner: 14 degrees

The recent cold snap will be gone soon, however. Forecasts indicate temperatures will get up into the 40s this weekend.
