AUBURN, WA — An Auburn Fred Meyer sold the lone jackpot-winning ticket for Monday night's Powerball drawing, which had ballooned to a $754.6 million jackpot — the fifth-largest payday in the game's history and only the second won in Washington. The Evergreen State's last Powerball winner claimed a $90 million jackpot in 2014.

Washington Lottery confirmed the winning ticket Tuesday, which was sold at the Fred Meyer on Auburn Way North. Officials said the store would receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the ticket. The winning numbers on Monday were 5, 11, 22, 23, 69 and the Powerball was 7.

The full jackpot is for a winner opting for an annuity distributed in one immediate but partial payout followed by additional payments over 29 years that increase by 5% annually. The winner also can opt for a one-time cash payment of $407.2 million.

The Washington winner had yet to come forward as of Tuesday afternoon. By law, each winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize, and winnings that are not claimed are placed into a reserve account. Each summer, the surplus is transferred to Washington Opportunity Pathways, a program that supports aspiring college students and early childhood education.

For Monday's drawing, other players in Michigan and New York won $1 million prizes in, while one Texas player won $2 million with the Power Play.
