Body Pulled From Lake Union, Seattle Authorities Say

The body was found near a dock in a busy commercial area not far from the Museum of History & Industry, authorities said.

SEATTLE, WA — Seattle authorities pulled a body from the waters of Lake Union on Wednesday morning, officials said.

The Seattle Fire Department tweeted around 9 a.m. that its crews were investigating reports of the body near a dock in the 900 block of Fairview Avenue North and asked the public to avoid the scene. The body was discovered in a busy commercial area near Chandler’s Cove and the Museum of History & Industry.

Seattle police were assisting in the recovery but tweeted around 9:45 a.m. that there was no evidence of foul play.
